What Changed
Average position: 38.5 → 29.2. In five days, the average position across all queries where signaturebathroom.co.za appears improved by more than nine positions. This is not the result of one page moving — it reflects the overall distribution of positions across every query where the site has been evaluated and placed.
Four real clicks. Someone searched “signature bathroom,” found the site at position one, and clicked through. Then someone else did. Then two more. These are not automated crawls. They are people who found the business through a search engine — some for the first time.
Brand at position one. “Signature bathroom” returns signaturebathroom.co.za at position 1.0. That is the average across the reporting window — meaning the site consistently holds the top result for its own name. One week in, the brand query is fully resolved.
The commercial query is registering. “Bathroom renovations durban” is at position 47. That is deep — page five — and it is producing zero clicks. But it is producing impressions. Google has evaluated the site as relevant to that query and is testing it. Position 47 is where competitive queries start for a brand-new domain. The trajectory is what matters, not the current number.
What Is Not Showing Yet
The La Lucia SERP data — the position 6 result confirmed across Day 5 and Day 6 by our market intelligence system — is not visible in GSC. This is expected. GSC suppresses query data below a threshold volume. “Bathroom renovation La Lucia” does not generate enough searches in the reporting window to appear in the query table. The position is real; the volume is too low for GSC to surface it.
As search volume for La Lucia accumulates — or as the site begins ranking for higher-volume queries — those will appear in the table. The absence of a query from GSC does not mean the site is not ranking for it.
The Chart Pattern
The impression chart shows a spike around 4-5 August followed by a dip, then a recovery climbing through 6 August. This pattern is common for new sites entering Google’s index. The initial spike represents Google’s evaluation pass — crawling the site, testing it against queries, and generating impressions. The subsequent dip is the recalibration period. The recovery is the site settling into its earned positions.
The upward trajectory from 5-6 August is the signal to watch. If it continues, the impression count will grow, and with it the click volume.

The SERP tracker and GSC are measuring different things. The tracker shows where the site ranks for specific queries run from a fixed location at a fixed time. GSC shows the aggregate of all impressions and positions Google has recorded across all searches, from all users, over the reporting window.
They are pointing in the same direction.
