Signature Bathrooms: Day 6 — Position 6 Holds

Six days after its first page-one appearance, signaturebathroom.co.za is still at position 6 for 'bathroom renovation La Lucia'. Stability at this position tells us something important about how Google treats new entrants.

Yesterday we asked whether the Day 5 position would hold. It has.

This morning’s run — 45 queries, 04:00 SAST, all 45 successful — returned signaturebathroom.co.za at position 6 for “bathroom renovation La Lucia.” Same URL. Same page. Same position. The SERP for this query has not moved in two days.

Today’s La Lucia SERP

What Stability at Day 6 Actually Means

In local search, new pages often appear and disappear within days as Google tests them against query intent. A position that survives for 48 hours without moving is not luck — it means the ranking signal has been evaluated and accepted.

Position 6 for this query is earned through a specific URL (/bathroom-renovations/umhlanga-la-lucia/) that explicitly names both Umhlanga and La Lucia in its path, content, and FAQ structure. The page exists because of a deliberate SEO decision made four days before this run. Google found it, indexed it, and placed it. It stayed.

The six broader bathroom renovation queries — “bathroom renovation Durban,” “bathroom renovations Umhlanga,” “bathroom renovations Durban North,” “bathroom redesign Durban,” “custom bathroom renovation Durban,” “bathroom fitters Durban” — are not showing signaturebathroom.co.za in the top 20. Those are the high-volume queries with established competitors. La Lucia is the beachhead: a lower-competition, geographically specific query where a purpose-built page could rank without waiting for the broader domain authority to build.

That is exactly what happened.
